Recently got my first 4k monitor (27" Dell S2721QS) and loving the crispness and clarity, as well as the richer colours. That leap from native 1080 really is a critical one. 😍
I run it scaled down to 1080, because otherwise text and icons, etc, are so small it is completely unusable, especially for my 60-something year old eyes. Doubt even a 32" screen running in native 4k would work for me.
But I am curious about what happens when I play a 4k video on it, in full screen mode. Does it play at the full 4k, or does it also get scaled down to 1080?
I have tried watching good quality 4k videos in both settings, native 4k and scaled down 1080, and I can't see any difference. They both look as good to me.
