Let's see.....new member alleges issues that there is no actual proof of (a few posts in this place are not proof - MacRumors is somewhat notorious for specious content) and wants us to provide our Serial Numbers to a suspicious website....

That's a fair comment as is Dean's comment.

The user above me runs a website with the information that I wanted to see centralised. Thus, this thread no longer has a purpose and I will change the title accordingly.

Genuine Apple products have been harvested for scams. That's a reality. Did they come from websites like this? We'll probably never know for sure. But it's not because I don't know with certainty that I'll go ahead and put my serial number on some random website.

That sentence does not mean anything. Pretty much everything has a theoretical possibility. There is a theoretical possibility that someone dies when eating glass. They might die or they might live. Even when evidence might say that the person will live, there is still the theoretical possibility that the person might die. Doesn't mean we should all go ahead and eat glass ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Same thing here. No certainty that the serial number will be used for scams is not a reason to go ahead and give it out when the information that you want can be gathered without putting the unique part of the serial number on some random website.

Bye now!
That's a logical fallacy and not really worth explanation.

I'm not asking people to eat glass, I asking to build a database. It's seems like someone below has done that.

Therefore this thread is redundant and I have changed the title.

Also, your link is useless as it doesn't have do with MBPs and MBAs.

I don't think reading comprehension is your strong suit, is it?
