The image is high resolution. When booting up at login it is pixelated. When waking up from sleep, it is high quality. Seems to be a boot up only bug.
Have this issue too, not just Memoji. Any and all profile pictures. It only happens when booting up because that's the time you put in your FileVault password. It's been bugging me forever!!

Cool! Actually, I am not moving to Big Sur right away, as 1) not all of my third party applications are compatible with Big Sur (taht includes 4 VERY important ones), and 2) the first few releases of any mac OS always contain bugs.

But, I have my popcorn, and am enjoying the entertainment!

I've been running Big Sur on my MacBook since B1, and Beta 8 & 9 have been pretty fine, I see beta 10 not making it worse. I'll stick my Mac mini on Big Sur when it gets public release, just in case (mind you I have a volume which has Catalina running as a clone from before I updated the main volume, just in case too).

Always good to update at your own pace though. :)

Yes, well said. Again, 5 of my critical applications that must be compatible are not yet. The obvious one that needs to definitely be compatible is SuperDuper!, as backups/clones are mandatory. But even if all my apps were compatible, I would still wait until the .2 release, as by that time most of the bugs introduced in the .0 and .1 releases are gone.

I suspect it will be January by the time I "move" to Big Sur, as that is the time my last critical application, Tech Tool Pro, will be compatible. But in the meantime, within 3 or 4 weeks after Big Sur is initially released, I will download and install Big Sur on an external Samsung SSD, which I will use for testing. I can also test most of my third party applications. For the critical ones, hopefully there will be compatible versions of Onyx, Thunderbird, and LibreOffice by that time. That would leave only SuperDuper! and Tech Tool Pro.
