Usually your phone is bricked if you can't do ANYTHING with it. If you can even attempt a restore, in my experience, then you are not totally screwed. I used to sell these unlocked phones on eBay back when it took over an hour to jailbreak 1.1.3 :) If you are still having troubles this morning I'll be on AIM until 12:30 PST and I can try to help, my SN is nomar383

hey man

so i went out and got a hold of a att sim and used that to restore with. I got some progress. after restoring it in DFU mode my itunes showed up with the ATT setup prompt. Now im lost to where to go or do. I need to unlock and jailbreak for my t-mobile sim now. what should i do. thanks

Easy cheezy. Download ZiPhone (I know there are newer methods, but this is what I use). Then hit "Do-it-All". Pop in the new SIM and bone out.

BTW it's at ziphone.org
