Ah, then the eGPU solution will work out well for you.

I love Apple products, but I love gaming more and this fact alone would get me to move to Windows 100% of the time if not for my profession :)

I have a large library of games on Steam mostly for Windows. A brand new RX 580 that was in it died within 3 weeks. I don't want to spend money on 2 GPUs, so I was planning on just using the Mac Mini as it has the better CPU than my PC. It's looking more and more like I'll buy the Vega 56 for my PC instead. I really want to play Monster Hunter World and it's PC only (and I don't own a console).

Shouldn’t there be a warranty if it died in a few weeks? Only games I’ve played on a computer were Starcraft 2, halo, gta San Andreas... I want to play some new ones but I have a Nintendo switch and all my favorite games are Nintendo only (smash bros, Pokémon, Zelda).

Maybe try the eGPU with the mini? There are A LOT of people whose done that... the processor is better than the iMacs I believe... I wish I could get the 9th gen i5 in the base model of the 27 inch, then the decision would be done :/.

Yup, it was still within the return period so I returned it. Then I purchased the Mini and was hoping to kill 2 birds with one stone. I guess I do have a console. Well, technically, my son has a console. I loved BOTW.

I'll be keeping my eyes on the eGPU scene and see if things get better. I used to love tinkering, but as I've gotten older lot of things compete for my attention (kids, mostly -- I feel like a pro bono Uber driver for my Kids). It doesn't seem like Apple is giving much love to Bootcamp these days.

Remember, under 2K :)

Haha yeah BOTW is amazing... I need to finish that. And yeah under 2k. Let me know if you pull the trigger on an eGPU or anything. Thanks!
