It's nice to think that you are super special and unique in some way, and have specific needs that no one else has. Not the case however. People are looking for and have posted identical questions to what you have.

Matte. It is much better for reading text and the like, because you wont be distracted by stuff in the background. I own both (Matte MBP and Glossy MB) and I perfer the Matte look. It is much much easier to smudge a glossy screen, too. I have to constantly clean my MBs screen, but not my MBP.

I would say matte

I'll cast my vote, even though it appears the op has already gone the matte route.

I recently sold my mb which i LOVED, but could not take the glossy screen. It really did create eyestrain for me after about 15 minutes of use. Everytime I would use it, I would say hey, this is great, no eye strain, I must have gotten used to it, but then 15 minutes in, it would be back without me even thinking about it.

That notwithstanding, if I were in a classroom with fluro lights overhead daily, I don't think I could take it at all.

I'll soon be going the 15" route matte, one for the larger screen size and two for the matte.

If there was a 13" mb matte, i'd buy it in a second.
