Please. Urgent. Oh god I m so unhappy. Please help. Need Black MB in SF today

I want the black MB today only. They dont have it in SF stores though. Only the white ones. If I dont get it today then I`ll be waiting another 2 months till it hits Indian shores. My cousin wud be leavin SF tomm . He can get me one. But they only have white ones there. Does any one know if there is a Black one in SF. I`ll have to get a white one if not. God. this was the first thing I`d prayed that the new MB doesnt have. I just cant stand white once it`s dirty. So polish and polish every week will be my routine again. And I`d thought I wont have to once I sold my iBook.

Please can any one confirm Black one`s availability in SF. He says he`s leavin for san jose with his friends tomm. I dont want to ruin his plans. On second thoughts I cant even if I try. He will come back to India on 19 from SF airport. But he`ll reach SF on 18th midnight only. So no chance of getting a MB on 18th too.

So do I have no other option but to get a White one only. Can some one help. Please. He`ll be buying the white one in a couple of hours. He cant wait as he has an exam tomm morning. And will be leaving for San Jose straight away.

Please try and help if you can.

EDIT: As a matter of fact I couldnt get a black one. Bought a white one instead and saved 200$. All these reports bout black susceptible to dirt,scratches and now the whole coating peeling off, has made me really convinced to get the white one instead.

I bet there are people in the world who really wish they had your problems.

Have you called all the nearest Apple retail stores? I am sure there's several in the bay area.

I cud find two on apple.com.

One says only white. Other one has no response. Please tell me if there are more in SF. I`ll give them a call myself. Just give me the numbers.

Also has someone got a report on whine and heat?

Not to be rude or anything but I understand the poor guy.

I was in the same position as him last Feb, I was supposed to leave NYC like the 24th, and I couldnt find any MBPs in all the state. At the end, I contacted someone on Ebay, he said he had one, but it happened to be all fake. So I had to leave to my country without the computer I wished to had..waited about a month, and they started selling it here.

If you cant find It, try on Ebay, and make SURE its real.

I think you should tell your cousin buy the white one as soon as possible since it might sell out and you get nothing. Worst case you can return the white one for a black one just do not open it.

Atleast please tell me if there are other store near by. Both in SF dont have it.

One more thing. How far is OakLand form Sanjose? I`ll ask him to try oakland on Thursday and see if they have it by then. Or in worse case could it be, there arent even white ones. I dont want that to happen. I`ll somehow mange with white rather than waiting for 2 more months.

OH GOD. BUT I WANT A BLACK ONE. PLEASEEEEEEE

thats my biggest concern. But can he return a white one bought from SF and get it replaced with a blackone in SanJose? I doubt this is possible. Please correct me

You are correct that there are only two Apple stores in SF. I don't know how mobile your cousin is right now, but there are plenty more stores in the Bay Area. He might want to check the Emeryville, Burlingame, and Corte Madera stores...they are all not too far from SF, though all in different directions. Further out you'd find Palo Alto, Stanford, Walnut Creek, San Jose, Santa Clara, Pleasanton, and Santa Rosa. I'm not near any of them today, so I can't help out...good luck!

Try to use mapquest or maps.google.com but not sure if he has a car. But this store isnt that far if you drive

Yes you can return it at any apple store in the USA. Just need a receipt.
just DO NOT OPEN IT. once it is open you will pay the restocking fee.

Thanks. I`ll call each one of them and try to find out if some one has it.

In the mean time. Some one else has any more info?

OK. I m doing that only now. Ask him to buy the white one. And keep it unopened. If they have black one available by this weekend then I`ll get it replaced. If not(oh pleas no) then I`ll just stay with the white one only:(

Damn, I'm at the one in downtown SF right now and they've got 6 on display, 3 of which are black.

Good things come to those who wait.

Edit: I'm posting on a Mini right now and the Mighty Mouse sucks. Royally.
 
Santa Rosa and Corte Madera are all north of SF.

Somebody needs to get you guys a map.

EDIT In the scheme of things, San Jose is about 20 minutes away from Palo Alto, traffic permitting.
