Communications from Apple in response to bug reports, problem reports and so on

Fix Radar or GTFO (2012) suggested that lack of communication was too often a problem. I read of similar concerns before and after that campaign, but I don't know whether the problem was/is widespread.

I have no recent experience with Apple Bug Reporter (it's present for me, but my last real use of the service was long ago).

Frequency of communication from Apple is not a concern for me; I think of Feedback Assistant as the key to butler service from the company.
A quiet, orderly approach to gathering as much as possible of what may be required for Apple to respond. What's gathered is sent, there's a thank you and then I expect the butler to not disturb me until Apple finds it necessary to communicate something.
The most recent communication allowed some clarification about use and limitations of fsck_hfs(8).
