I have the 13", and the only problem I have with it is the battery life. I didn't expect it to get a full ten hours consistently, maybe up to eight. But instead I'm constantly getting 5-6 hours, which is worse than what my last laptop (2008 Sony VAIO) got when it was new.

Also has anyone experienced plugging their 2016 in, and not having the soft chime that alerts you it is connected to power? I notice that half the time, it doesn't make the sound. For the record, this is when the computer is in standby, and I never have the speakers muted. Of course when I open the computer it shows it's charging, but it's very annoying considering that audio cue is the only way to tell your computer is charging without turning it on.

But you should definitely exchange the machine if you can and see what happens with the new one. Start with the virgin software out of the box, then add your apps one at a time to see if there's a certain software that's causing it.

The flaws I posted (with pictures) is directly out of the box with no software installed or modified. I installed CoconutBattery later to check my power draw, but that was after the posted pictures. Thanks.

Graphical issues would prompt me to likely return the machine until sorted. Definitely battery issues too where people are getting 3 hours that's like the equivalent of a shot battery from previous generations. It's on Apple to fix no matter the culprit why would you stick your neck out there for something that may prove to be a migraine over total life of ownership? even if you really really like it otherwise. This refresh is 4 years in the making what's a little longer going to hurt (unless you don't have a machine to fall back on then I understand the predicament)

My 2015 rMB has glitches on Sierra and with one custom resolution (1536x960, 2/3rd actual native resolution) since I modified a plist file but only sometimes and specific to that. No issues with custom 1680x1050 and no issues with any red on el cap. 10.11 is way smoother and more battery efficient so el cap will remain on that machine.

Could be a graphics driver issue but could also be faulty hardware. Fortunately nTB is known to not have this issue nor is my specific unit affected. And battery life is fantastic thus far

I personally think the only thing that should be stopping any prospective buyers out there is the battery life. It needs to live up with Apple's claimed 10 hrs. Anything else can be either fixed by a software update or the return policy. I think the new MacBook Pro is great, if you need it buy it now. Don't expect any refreshes until mid of 2017.

No significant problems, but like some others have mentioned, my 15" has had the screen go haywire for a second or two while logging in. Battery life is definitely not 10 hours, more like 6 with brightness less than half.

If it's an easily reproducable graphics glitch I'd assume software too actually
