Even tho its a small sample it seems that its around 50% of user who have trouble. Its not even just for the 460. Its also for the 450 and 455..

Although I didn't have issues with my dGPU (2.9/1TB/460), I decided to exchange mine for a 13" (3.3/16GB/512GB).

Received mine today, fired up Elite Dangerous, cranked the settings right up from what I had them at for my 2012 rMBP. Temperatures stayed in the high 60 to low 70 range (same as the 2012) with an acceptable frame rate, fans kicked in, much quieter than the old mac, no problems encountered with the 460 (yet).

I had noticed that too, the 460 on the 15" runs VERY cool and quiet compared to the R9 M370X in the 2015 or to the GT750M in the 2013.

Nothing reassuring to all these problems.
I don't want to get upset with these problems with a $4000 machine.
I canceled my order waiting to know if the cause is software or hardware.

I have a 455 and my system hangs/freezes during graphic intensive stuff.
I have to disable "Automatic Graphic Switching" to resolve the issue which is not a acceptable fix.
Do you think guys it is a software or hardware issue?

software

What's the easiest way to reproduce this?

If it's software related, concerning that only some people are getting this

I am using an Intel HD Graphics 530. I have two odd issues: in some apps the cursor disappears and sometimes the screen flashes on and then black. I wonder if it has to do with switching

Have any of you with the graphic issue tried to clean install the machine yet? I did a quick clean os reinstallation and my machine runs smooth now.

I have issues with a 460, but I don't think it has anything to do with the 460 at all.

When I switched to only use high performance graphics in Energy options some of the glitching I had went away.

Since I have the time, I'm probably going to try this later today.

Did it fix the problem?

I am having similar issues. For now I just tried turning off the setting for automatic graphics card switching but not sure if it worked.

Nope, automatic graphics switching didn't do anything :(

I am using my 15" oMBP (2015 mid, Iris Pro +AMD Radeon R9 M370X). Since my MBP has been showing some graphic card issue, I wanted to get it exchanged. Since my model with the double graphic cards is discontinued, Apple is offering to exchange with the new 15" MBP 2016 model (450) or with oMBP (single graphic card: Iris Pro).

It seems like the nMBP also has graphic card issues...
I don't know what to choose..
Any thoughts?

Thank you!

I have see a few weird things in OS X. Looked like a partial color profile tear (igp/dgpu switched around this moment). Fired up Windows 10 and gamed for two hours (100% gpu load) and haven't seen a glitch, issue or problem what so ever. Thinking it's just some sort of software related problem in most situations :).

I'll recieve my 15" 2.9/1TB/460 on Monday. How and in which situations do the glitches should appear? I'd like to test it and make sure it's perfect.

Its random. Try youtube in Firefox for a few hours. Running a few games in bootcamp.

Running 460. Been using the laptop intensively for about a week. No graphics issues sighted.

A few minor under OS X... Again I think they are driver based. I ran Civilization V under OS X and Windows 10. The OS X version shows some rendering glitches while the windows 10 installation ran without.
