No problems to report running Windows XP SP2 under Parallels. Seems Parallels doesn't like having 1GB of RAM allocated to Windows, though. After I dropped the allocation to 512 MB, it works perfectly.

Is allocating memory a Parralells thing? I just installed XP pro on my oldest daughters computer with bootcamp and I don't recall being asked to allocate memory.. Did I miss something? If so, how do I fix it? I assume it's running alright- it was when I left and I haven't heard since, so I guess all is well..

Memory allocation is a function of Parallels since it's a virtual machine. Windows XP via Bootcamp uses however much RAM it can see that the Mac has.

I have a copy of VPC7 gathering dust at home since I switched to my MacBook Pro. Does anybody know off-hand if you can (either practically or ethically) use the Windows XP license from VPC with Parallels? I only used Windows to browser-test web sites in the past, and may need to do it again.
