Just curious to see how many people have updated their phone to 3.1 I'm still on the fence please convince me.

I certainly am on 3.1. I downloaded it as soon as I could when it was released. I am not jailbroken nor have I ever jailbroken my 3GS (I did on my 3G), so I don't have any worries. I'm not using a hacked carrier file either. :)

Im not on 3.1 or iTunes 9. Just havent gotten around to it/ cared enough to upgrade. Ill probably knock it all out today when DLing the updated carrier file.

What carrier file update? What's going on that I don't know about?

Hmm, not as sarcastic as your usual responses. There were no 1's following exclamation marks, so I'll answer normally. :D

MMS is coming out today for Americans through an updated carrier file provided by AT&T today, through iTunes.

There's a thread here on the "coma" issue with 3.1. Is this rampant or is this affecting only a small percentage of iPhone users?

I haven't upgraded, because of that particular thread and the fact that my iPhone is running great with 3.0. Should I be concerned with 3.1?

This is my situation. I just don't see the need right now unless I'm missing something.

Apparently you're not using a Bluetooth headset. 3.1 enables Voice Control over BT. The single great addition that prompted me to update to 3.1 the day it became available.

How's your iPhone been behaving since the udpate? Any coma issues?

Where's the option for "No, I have a jailbroken 3GS and am waiting for the 3.1 jailbreak" ?

Sorry it's all about me right now :p j/k Though I thought of jail breaking my phone and my Ipod touch I don't see that many benefits since so many legit apps are now available.

Not yet I guess things like this I would definately consider. Does Bluetooth in general work better with 3.1 or is just voice control new?

Normally I update pretty quickly, I'd like to, but I really like having the benm tethering hack which works perfectly, and apparently you lose it upon updating to 3.1. I'd update if there were, for example, a new tethering hack that worked on 3.1.

Right now, since I stayed with 3.0.1, and installed the 5.5 carrier file manually, I have both mms and tethering working, which is nice. :)

I have 3.1 and other than the SMS App crashing a few minutes after updating (may have been sheer coincidence) it has been fine

no battery issues
no random crashing/stalling (other than the one time)
