Sorry it's all about me right now :p j/k Though I thought of jail breaking my phone and my Ipod touch I don't see that many benefits since so many legit apps are now available.
SBSettings and it's toggles is worth the price of admission on it's own.
Once you've had that, there's no going back. Using it has become so instinctive, so natural, that going into the Settings app to alter certain things(even if they're only a few taps away), seems like a bit of a chore, lol.

I upgraded my 3GS and my sister upgraded her 3G the day it came out with iTunes 9.0 and we have been fine up-until a few days ago. her phone locked up on her wile at school and had to wait to get home to do anything about it, her battery was full but it would not respond.

mine just a day after hers, I had 75% battery power and I received a text message, I heard the alert so I reach for my phone in my pocket, I hit the home button and my phone would not turn on, I did a hard reset and i got the Dead Battery Icon. I was positive it had been charged, but i charged it again for 10 minutes before the iPhone finally turned back on. when I came back on, I had 90% battery power.

my sister did the upgrade from the family iMac and I did my update from my MacBook. and neither of our phones are JB

My battery life plummeted after updating to 3.1. This is a HUGE problem now because I used to be able to go a whole day and evening without needing to recharge my phone, and now after updating to 3.1, I have to stop and charge it when I get home from work. (the amount of usage has not changed - I use my iPhone the same as I did before I updated to 3.1)

Ya, battery life is my main worry. Let alone losing functionality. I got tethering and mms working so I think I'm set.

3.1 has problems. Whether you notice them or not. This has been confirmed by Apple (unofficially of course).

I am personally still on 3.0 and won't update.

I'm still on 3.01 and don't plan on upgrading until 3.1 jailbreak comes out for 3GS...unless the official update enabled multitasking I am not willing to loose backgrounder + KiriKae.
