COMPLETELY Satisfied

I had Airbook A with 80 gig HD, and LOVED it. Never had all the problems I read about. I need a bigger hard drive and when B came out I had to have it. So I opted for the SSD, and it's AWSOME!!! I don't have the flicker problems that I've also read about. To be honest with you folks, I never found version A to be that different than B other than the start up time and being somewhat quieter with the SSD. If someone doesn't need a big hard drive and they still can get an A, I would. For someone who used a Thinkpad X version where it was all about weight, I found the air a perfect replacement. Top it off with the best OS I have found, you have the perfect machine. If you want to nit pick not having all the bells and whistles, this is not the machine. But if you want a light weight machine that blows away anything in it's class, then hands down, buy the air. I just put on windows, and can't believe it runs faster on a mac!
And on an Air!

Funny but I had a mouse for my last VAIO and now with my Rev B Air I never use it, I love the trackpad and the multi-gesture capabilities. I am completely satisfied and with my 1.86/128ssd Rev B.

I find it funny as well that people rather use an external mouse instead of the trackpad on the mac. If you have a Dell, then I can understand.

BTW, I think the trackpad on the VAIO is very good, next to the mac.

I'm currently using a 1.6/80 Rev A as my primary until the new iMacs come out. I love it! It goes everywhere with me. I had a MBP for almost three years and I didn't think I'd find something I like even more. The Air fits the bill!

One thing I can't get over is how bright this screen is. It's still blinding, especially next to my wife's MacBook.

Great but with flaws

I am very satisfied with my RevA 1.6/3gb/88gbHDD as a thin and light travel computer. I find that I use this machine about 90% of the time over all my other macs.

But I am not completely satisfied. In particular hard drive capacity and performance requires compromises I would rather not make. I would also have liked to see a second USB2 port as a single port that has insufficient power to run an external drive and something else also makes for compromises I'd rather not make.

RevB solves neither of these issues to my satisfaction so unless my current machine breaks and needs replacing I'll likely be waiting for at least a revC. Hopefully that will feature 4gbRAM and a 256gb SSD. Then either a second USB2 port or more power to the single port so it can run an unpowered hub with a drive and ethernet connector attached.

...I was one of the lucky ones to get a perfect Rev. B Air without any lines on the screen, etc.
I cannot be happier. :)

Based on the comments here, the majority of MBA's have no issues, the minority are the ones with the lines. As usual, a few people with issues make up the majority of negative posts.

I am happy and satisfied :) After having issues like dead pixels and missing airport cards on the Rev. A refurbs, I couldn't wait anymore and took a chance on a Rev B. Happy to report no lines and no dead pixels *whew*:p

Perfectly happy with my rev. B here.

Haven´t really checked for lines or dead pixels. As long as it does what I need it for, the looks is less important to me. :)

Satisfied here

I got an 80gb rev. a 2 weeks ago. It's my first Mac. I've used lots of ultra-portable Thinkpads (x23, x41 tablet) in the past, and I am quite impressed with this little machine. I'm used to not having a built in optical drive, and it's not my primary machine. I was deciding between the MBA and the Aluminum MacBook. I carry the machine on my daily commute, and decided that the 1.5lb difference (2lbs for the white MacBook) and the $279 price difference pushed the decision toward the MBA. To me, the only downside is the lack of HDD upgrade options. The refurb arrived in like-new condition, and I'm impressed by the Apple refurb warranty. If I had the $$$ I would buy another for my wife in an instant.

Paying full pop is tough to realize, but that's the way of the market. I don't like the idea of two kernel panics, but I like the idea of a third problem with my MBAir, will qualify me for a new MBAir. The freezing up in the middle of a presentation has been brutal and embarrassing. I now bring two Macs to all my presentations...

I voted: Somewhat satisfied, with some issues, but I can deal with them

I bought the MBA Rev. B w/ 128 SSD in November. I've only got two minor things that I would improve if possible.

First would be the battery life. It seems to take a long time to charge and drains more quickly than I would expect. The other thing is video editing and playback. It still seems to stutter more than I'd expect even with simple editing in iMovie.

Other than those 2 things (and the $$$ cost of it!), it's darn near perfect. :D:apple:
