Actually, I'm sort of changing my mind about the keynote and hardware releases, for one reason only.
Retina computer displays.
OS X 10.8 has all these retina resolution graphics and stuff built in, I bet there's a huge push at the WWDC to get developers' Mac apps retina'd for 10.8 and the new retina-capable Macs. The best way to push 10.8's retinal goodness, if it's being pushed, is to show developers that their customers will soon own the hardware to use it. Surely this means MacBook Pros, and maybe Airs and iMacs. But imagine if they also were showing off retina Thunderbolt! displays? That would be the perfect time to show off new desktops using them. Minis and Mac Pros would only make sense.
If this is indeed the Year of the Retina, we could very well see a (quick) announcement of products across the Mac line-up, perhaps with a longer spotlight on a single product line like the MacBook Pro. Release dates, probably when 10.8 ships.
The thing to look for, therefore, is how much they talk about retina graphics in 10.8. If they're talking about it, they're probably announcing hardware to use it. The more they're talking about it, the more hardware they're probably announcing. The only question then, is if they have new Thunderbolt! displays or just laptop displays.
Still though, I expect iOS 6 will be the main focus, that's just the audience in attendance. But if they spend a lot of time on 10.8, you'll know there's more of a focus on the Mac this year, which means new Macs. Mac Pros? We'll see.
