I wonder what Jonathan Ive makes -- he's not on that list, but I'd have to guess it's a huge amount.

I'd be willing to bet that Ives makes A LOT more than any of the execs on the list. He truly is an essential asset for apple. He probably gets paid as much as he wants! Apple would have a problem if they had to replace him because he moved somewhere else!

I believe I read that Ive's recieved $1 million dollars per year but I assume he may also have stock options as well. Can't remember the source but may have been the BBC around the time of his design award last year.

Wow -- nice time to revive this thread! Thanks for the answer.

"We're sorry Mr. Jobs... but your performance doesn't justify a raise this year. Sell more units, and maybe you'll get $1.25 next year!"

He's paid in apple shares.
Isn't it a measure of good faith or something, that he was basically being paid in his ability to lead the company, or am I insane?

it a trend but there are CEO that even jobs to shame. They collect 1 dollar and that it. No bonuses no stock option. They almost pay to work there.

Mind you the 1 dollar salary in some ways is agaist the law. The min for salary is double what minaum wage is at 40 hours a week. I remember reading about this during the trend and they have to look for some very creative loop hole and it kind of messy in those areas. dont remember all of it but it is kind of intersting.

It just a trend now going on with CEO not taking any money at all from the company in any way shape for form.

Woohoo! I make as much money as Steve Jobs makes in 15 years in one hour!

Of course, I don't have the stock options. :D
