That was my point with the crack splinter... The recent pictures do NOT look like the same quality as the earlier pics. Fanboys can flame away, but the qc definitely seems to have taken a hit.

they did mentioned to me it would arrive latest early may. oh well. hope its coming soon as promised too
Click on the pics, especially the first one, then use the auto-magnify glass, and you can see it was never particularly tight to begin with, the green paper-cloth, or the white faux leather.

THESE are NOT acceptable before and afters/Wear and tear after 2 weeks .
We may have been at odds/ different sides of this issue before but as you say, the first shipments in late march were of vastly higher quality.
I tried for a refund but "custom" are not allowed as such
which is funny because they did not consider it custom enough to mark it so if it really is considered so(custom) on the Serial tag, as included in the pics

Nope sorry you never sounded pleased with your purchase despite it being highly customized.
Frankly you sound like someone who is rarely ever pleased and I'm thankful that I'm not the Portenzo employee who has to hear you whine over a trivial corner while thousands of orders wait to be produced.
Take a bit of glue and fix the corner yourself for goodness sakes. There's well over 10,000 orders, at least half of which are still not complete. You're certainly not helping the process.

Whining can be directed at Portenzo, not me, I'm not building/shipping slow as tar.
Whine all you want, I paid good money and it's getting priority in getting fixed, they shall rush it out, fact is I ordered before you so if you order gets delayed thats not my fault or problem =D so kick rocks buddy, the issue is quite grave and horrible in all actuality if yours falls apart feel free to krazy glue it all the way to Mars!

Yeah, what are you thinking? Nothing lasts forever, and quality takes time. Obviously yours didn't take quite enough time tho

Obviously, maybe they need to extend that waiting period from 4-6 weeks to 2-3 months, maybe then they can sell a quality product.

Received my Portenzo. It is perfect - but I'm not keeping it.
I just received my Portenzo. It is perfect - everything I had hoped for, but I won't be keeping it. Reality has set in... I have a two-year-old that will be sharing some time on the iPad, and I can't bring myself to trust him with it. If anyone would like it at a discount and immediate shipping DM me your email for pictures and we can make a deal.

Maybe that is why they didn't want to offer the custom colours because they only had one colour with the backing that works with the 23.5.
So now you got this custom thing , (ask and ye shall receive) and you can't return it...If you contact them they will take it back. FIX it and send it back to you. They've done that for others.

They let this one guy on here do it and they let like 10 ppl custom 23.5 cases.
It really has no rhyme, reason, or fairness to it, such is the whimsical team portenzoo...
They roll a dice and rub a crystal ball before deciding who gets a custom comp2/23.5.

I just received my Portenzo. It is perfect - everything I had hoped for, but I won't be keeping it.
I have a 32 month old that played quite a bit with my first iPad in it's Portenzo case for over 7 months before I sold both. The iPad and case looked the same the day I sold them as when purchased. Our rule at home is "iPad only goes on the couch or your table." We have been working hard to teach him to respect his (and others) tool and toys and that is working splendidly. I'm eagerly awaiting my new Portenzo and wouldn't think twice about handing it off to my lil guy.
yellow, what?? i've been looking at this pic on my macbook for 5 minutes, the only yellow i see is the screen background which is yellow. the lining seems absolutely green!!

Finally put in an order for the 23.5 even though I don't have plans to buy an iPad 2 yet (waiting for jailbreak). I was going to wait for the 76 but they said it would be released sometime this month and that I could easily upgrade. Figure that's a better idea than waiting for it to come out and then waiting again for it to actually be shipped.

Just be aware they will delay shipping your order even further if you buy one model then upgrade to another, as it happened to many who bought the 23.5 using the upgrade route =0
