Possible answer to ZiPhone problems.

if you are with at&t do not check the activation option since you are already activated with at&t. Just check the jailbreak option...
 
If anyone is having issues with the phone not making sounds, a simple reset all settings will fix it.

If anyone has an email issue, SSH into the phone and in the mobile/library delete the mail folder. (Backup if anything before deleting) Then go and re create your accounts manually.

does that work for yahoo? I tried that and my yahoo account kept telling me I had an invalid usename and password.

Several people have had problems when jailbreaking with ZiPhone's jailbreak.
It seems that it is affecting phones that were previously jailbroken with various apps installed. I think it must be residual files causing most of the problems.

Is there a way to completely wipe the phones memory? Reformat, whatever?

Restore Via iTunes does not do that because some changes are still left on the phone after doing a restore.


Just a little more info on my phone, 1.1.1 OTB, been jailbroke with ijailbreak.com, upgraded to 1.1.2 then jailbroke, restored to 1.1.3 several times. When running the ziphone jailbreak my email password is first accepted but when opening mail I get the wrong username or password error.

I have a week 43 US AT&T phone that I bought from the states and I'm trying to use it in Ireland.

HOW has my hone been activated with AT&T? I don't understand exactly what this means.

I restored to factory settings with iTunes, Then using ziphone 2.4 If I select only jailbreak my phone still doesn't work. I just get "emergency calls only ". I HAVE to select activate also to get the phone fully unlocked.

But then I cannot download the BSD subsystem or update community sources.
 
You have to do a clean install of 1.1.3 then choose SETUP AS NEW PHONE. Do not Sync your entire phone just your contacts.
