I've found that even my 3GS seems to be sucking the battery with just backgrounder, sbsettings, and winterboard with a few customizations installed... I'm trying to let my battery go completely down to see if my battery just needs to be calibrated...

Thanks jmann. I was about to delete my question, but I got slow a$$ 1MB Comcrap and was waiting for the thread to refresh.

We'll see if this helps my battery life. Thanks again.

i have to admit, compared to SBsettings, this for sure does make a difference...for me it wasnt as huge as some that posted here but its enough to notice.

I got about 2 hours use and 30mins or so of extra calling when compared to the Sbsettings.

I did almost the exact same thing with the 2 installed by themselves. I ran the battery till the 10% warning and checked the time in usage. Of course its not a 100% perfect accurate test, cause i might of run something for more time or whatever, but it was the best i could get.

However...i notice something that does drain your battery like a fat kid on a cupcake....BACKGROUNDER....i dunno if its just me, but BACKGROUNDER was tearing through my battery at a alarming rate. I removed it since i really dont use it as much as others. I can see the need for pandora (never use it, im a audio geek and have only ALAC on my iPhone and iPod). However how much it ate my battery, i couldnt justify having it.

So, today is the first day without Backgrounder...i used my iphone today for about 2-3 hours between surfing, listening to my iPod (lossless music), checking my email, playing 3d Lab, sending about 30-40 text messages...I took the phone off the charger at 12pm today, its now 11pm and im at 70% battery....:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Backgrounder more like.....Batterygrinder.....so if you dont need it, DO NOT INSTALL IT!!!

Hate to revive an ancient thread, but is this still relevant?, as ive noticesd excesive drain with percentage enabled in SBSettings.

Thanks
