Come to think of it. I think I want these:

Cleveland HiBORE XLS Driver

Cleveland HiBORE XLS Fairway Woods
clehiborexlsfwylrg.gif

Cleveland HiBore XLi Irons mainly because "These engineered recesses reduce turf interaction in tough lies and help increase control from any lie." And lord knows I could use as much space between the turf and the club as possible!

Ping iWedge (Sand Wedge)

And a bag, though I haven't picked one out yet but it'll probably be a cart bag.

In short, I'll be buying a used set for <$500. haha

Puckhead, A flex? Seriously? Your location says you are still going to school, so I''ll make the (what could be erroneous) assumption that you are still somewhat young, and you really need an A flex? That is a really big surprise to me, I would think R flex would be fine; if thats what the club fitter says then it is probably right, but I think I might have that one reevaluated. Best of luck out on the course though, I imagine its a little cold to be playing back east right now.

its a toss up i might get the regular flex; i just started so as i take more lessons my swing speed will increase (i hope) .

Why you mad at verizon? Just go ATT if you don't like them.

Cause they passed on the iPhone; plus i'm on a family plan and the 'rents don't want to switch

32" sony hdtv (this is fair game)

Get the 32" Bravia XBR, i have it awesome tv for the size/price

My brother wants the XLis too..you should check out the old hibores, golfsmith has them really cheap now...it might be cheaper then buying a used set or similarly priced. How long have you been playing?

Good tip. :)

Definitely up for a used pair and also last year's model. I'm a true beginner.
Looks like there's a Golfsmith in Raleigh ... hopefully there will be some good new year sales as I can't buy until I move.

Your swing speed will increase, no doubt. A good golf swing is all about efficient controlled power, something new golfers severely lack and something most serious golfers struggle to perfect their whole life. Your swing speed will go up, I went from R flex steel shafts to X flex steel shafts in about a year and half, so no doubt you will gain swing speed with practice and lessons. That being said, get what fits you now, you can always invest money in new shafts or a newer set of irons and you don't want to get something you might not "grow into." You'll soon be addicted to new clubs anyway; you don't get just one addiction with the game of golf (you might also become an alcoholic, that seems to be popular with people out on the golf course). Best of luck to you, I wish I was able to play more, going from everyday to three times a year was particularly hard.

Into the Cleveland stuff eh, Jessica? I was always kind of a Titleist snob, in fact, the only thing I play that isn't Titleist is my 3 wood, which is a Sonartec. Don't get me started on Titleist Scotty Cameron putters, I'll never give mine up. Cleveland makes nice stuff though, I have an old Quadpro steel shaft 3 wood I mess around with some times.

I would reccomend against the Logitech Harmony, I have that one and I went through 2 670's. The 550 is starting to go down hill and it has only been about 6 months. There remotes don't last that long. When they work they are great, but they crap out like nobody's business.

Just an FYI.

Third, a Radeon HD 4870:

And, of course, a attractive, smart woman.

Shame I'm not going to get any of them.
