Yea I love my Scottys. I own 4 right now. This one is in the bag at the moment. I picked up a TM Ghost mallet last year, have had moderate success with it, but keep going back to a blade.

Glad to hear/see I'm not the only one with multiple. Currently up to three give or take one at any given time. Currently working with a Newport 1.5, Newport 2.5 and my beloved new addition of the Tel3:p

When I have the time and money for it, I like wood working.

Well, since I'm 98.238% done with my Enterprise Refit, I thought I'd post the final bits on the hobby thread. :)

My next kit is going to be a 1/1400 Enterprise D from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Soon I'm going to have a huge fleet! :D

DVDs

I've been collecting DVDs now Blu-rays from 1997 (DVDs were invented in '95 but didn't start to be used by studios for their movies till '97). I remember walking into a Blockbuster and realizing that I had more DVDs than they did. Unlike VHS, they did not start at $80. Since there were so few of us buying them and DVD players were so expensive (I used my PC to play the disc at first) to get the market started there were many discounts you could use on the internet.

My original PS2 was my first DVD player, and I very clearly remember watching "3 Kings" on it, borrowed from the local public library believe it or not.

I remember those good 'ol days. My first DVD player was a GE and it was close to $300 back then. I still own it and it still works. :)

On that note, this was the first DVD I ever purchased..

I do miss the good 'ol days of VHS though.

DVDs can be had for real cheap now because stores are switching to blu-ray because they are harder to copy (very large files make it not worth the trouble). The thing to do is make a list of the movies that you really like and know you would watch over again, for me that would be Sci Fi with plenty of special effects, and control your buying. I belong to Blueray.com and make ticklers for how much I'm willing to pay for something and they email when it disc hits my price.

Not long ago you could get the Raiders boxset for $40, that's $10 per movie in Blueray on Amazon Gold box special.
