If you only have ONE gallon of gas in your car at a time, then you're probably not getting 40mpg. Automobiles get the MOST mpg when the gas tank is above half-way full. When it drops below half-full, mpg goes down.

Argh! Seeing the speed comparisons and everyone's posts make me want to order a 4s for myself.

Ordered one for my wife and one for my stepdaughter and I'm jonesin before I'm even home to play with theirs!

Not to mention it will/can wear out your fuel pump faster. No liquid to submerge it and keep it cool.
