Thankfully I never play with a speeding ticket, even though I rightfully deserved it. I instead received a no point fine for "not" wearing a seat belt and recently failure to present registration. So my knowledge is limited on how to get the driving class to keep the points off your license. To my knowledge it has to be granted by a judge. But I would research this for your state and/or ask on a high performance car forum. I probably would not had mention this to your insurance company, until after it was all over with.
Just take it as lesson learned. I slowed way down on my driving as I learned the consequences.
