I got quite a deal on this 2011 11 inch air. $600 on Craigslist, it was sealed in the box. (yes I did research on the serial number and opened it and tested it before forking over 6 bills.) :)

Wow, great deal, but it just reeks of theft. $600 for a brand new, sealed in its box MBA? No way that's not stolen.

I guess if you wouldn't have bought it someone else would have, so good find.

I did call apple and checked the serial number and the girl said it has a valid warranty and will be honored if needed. It wasn't showing as stolen or anything in their system.

I've been wanting an Eames leather lounge chair and ottoman for years and I finally bought one (reproduction).
Can't wait to pick it up next week.

Also just got the Phlips Prestigo SRT9320 on Friday. Love this remote!
I've had a Phlips Pronto TSU1000 for 14 years now and it still works great but this is pretty damn awesome too.

I know, you already said that you checked the #. But just because it wasn't showing as stolen in their system, doesn't mean that it wasn't stolen from someone else.

I guess it's possible that someone paid full price for a MBA, decided that they didn't want it before they even opened it, and then decided not to return it for a full refund to the store. Not likely, but anything is possible these days.

You did what you could to find out as much info as you could, so as I said before, good find.:)

I have had that Eames Lounge chair reproduction bookmarked for 6 months. I backed out at the last minute once I realized how large it was. it just wouldnt fit in my space. beautiful design though.

My last purchase was Rosetta Stone level 1-5 Chinese

So they still do sell the CD version. I was looking into getting the Japanese one for someone but they have a new system thats $20 per month (atleast 1 yr subscription minimum) but online access only.

yea the cds are still available. their website is a bit of a mess. if you go to where the discs are under home schooling the programs only go up to level 3. however if you navigate through their site you will find the 1-5 sets are in a separate area.

they have 20 dollars a month programs and a few 300 a year programs. My understanding is you get all the same content online as you would with the discs. you have access to all that stuff. I think for Japanese there is only 3 levels on disc where many languages have 5.

I must agree...took me a while to get used to it, but now I just can't stand MW3 lol BF3 is just pure fun

Definitely agree. Took me a bit to change my play style to slow it down. I was too used to COD and it's fast pace. After 3-4 days i'm right at a 1.4 K/D, so i'm doing pretty well at picking it up now. I thought i'd be about a 0.5 K/D at this point considering i've never played any BF games and the game has already been out 4 months so people know the maps so well. There are a few things that drive me crazy though. The spawns sometimes are horrible, the hit detection is really off/on, and the overpowered shotguns with frag rounds. The camping stuff is annoying too, but that's when i pull out my RPG's and take their buildings down. lol.

Yeah, my first FPS was black ops. I picked them up pretty quick and was dying for MW3 to come out. I preordered both MW3 and BF3. At first I hated BF b/c all i played was rush and was tired of the "bush wookies" but after playing it awhile I've managed a ~1.6 kdr which is probably about average, but my W/L is around 2.5, that makes me happy. Especially with the "randumbs" you get stuck with at times that either camp really far from the objectives or just wait in the spawn for helicopters.

Long story short, I have the Hardened version of MW3 and have yet to even download the new maps. I played for a week and a half and it felt like a cartoon to me. Too much jumping and lag for my tastes. BF feels like a war simulator, much more fun IMO. I will jump back into mw3 in a few months for something new.

What are the odds? :)

Better than they were 10 years ago.

My wife bought me a can of magic while on her trip back to Canada. She also bought me some Coffee Crisps, but she hasn't unpacked that yet, so no pics of those (I'll probably eat them before I even think of taking a pic anyway ;)).
