Even Emirates coach is like first class!

Pretty excited. I've been wanting an iPad for some time now and when the retina display was announced I finally placed my preorder for one.

Does that case turn off the new iPad when you close the cover? My old case which works fine on the iPad2 will not shut down the new iPad when I close the cover.

I just got this Platinum Izumo fountain pen. It is made of ebonite lacqured with urushi. The lacquering technique is called aka tame-nuri. A very smooth urushi coating. The pen does not look this red as shown in the photos. Even though flash made it look very red, the actual pen's reddish glow is more subtle.

I have a Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Fountain Pen. It doesn't write any better than a $5 fountain pen that I have, unfortunately, despite its $700-$800 price tag.

I have the same pair. Always been an Asics guy but I LOVE these trainers! Actually just did 8 miles in them.

Got 3 miles in yesterday and they felt good. Hard to tell by just that run, but no sore spots and anything major as of now

That's awesome. I had the chance to fly the A380 in F on Emirates; great trip, service can be hit or miss but generally quite good. I am a loyal OneWorld flyer now, but Emirates is certainly giving CX, QF, and BA a run for their money, especially in the premium classes.

For Y travel, I still prefer flying BA's 772/3s, since they are still configured in the 9-abreast configuration as opposed to Emirates' 10 abreast. Enjoy DXB. Its a great city to visit at least once!
