I'd better drink cheapish £0.30 energy drink than this crap. So bad.

Monster Energy is the best.

For as much as I visit this site I feel I should automatically be able to be in the marketplace :( haha - Looks like we need to contribute more;

I've been leaning towards the mouse, just not too sure I will use it that much

Only one purchase, but some great pick-ups. Hope no one minds me sharing.

New job!! :) For a great company, and the people so far seem very nice and part of a friendly environment. It's a position I think I can do a lot of good in for both the company and myself.

... and they provided me with a new laptop:

Also won a bunch of candy in a church raffle this evening:

At a burger king no less :D

Congrats on the job Mattcube, I remember you were looking for something a few months back. Glad you are getting settled!

I got a dell from my work too - I hate that thing. Its huge and heavy and blue screens when I safely remove usb drives. The only good things are that it sits on a dock, kb is not bad, and the resolution is not bad.

I am using my personal Asus UL20ft to work though, since it is smaller.

Just picked up this OLFA knife to keep in my everyday bag for package opening purposes ;)

Thank you :) Yeah, it has been a pretty solid couple of days. While I rarely get "down on my luck," it's certainly been nice to have a couple days of excessive good fortune. Oh, and I shot the lady a text message - her requested form of contact - and we're grabbing lunch tomorrow.

Thanks, peapody! :) Yeah, it took me a while to finally find something that wanted me and that I would enjoy. It's a very rough market out there. But it truly is nice to start getting settled.

The Dell they provided me with isn't too bad - new i5/8GB RAM/500GB HDD/4200M/1600x900 14(?)". I'll definitely miss having a speedy SSD - especially because this computer has about 10,000 security-required start-up programs, and it is a bit hefty; but battery life seems pretty solid. I, too, dock it while in the office, so it's not bad. That said, we all know I'd prefer a Mac. :p

But now I'm debating on my computer setup. I originally planned on getting a MBA for work, assuming the job needed it. But since I need to use the computer they provide, I don't know where my setup will be going in the next ~year. I'll likely either upgrade the iMac to a 27" and get an iPad, or I'll switch the iMac for an 11" "personal" MBA and just dock it while at home. Eh, I'm in no hurry. Plenty of time to think about it. Curious to see what Apple does with the MBP line...
