I dunno, somewhere in West Texas
Is that an MIUI ROM or some other ROM?

Nah, just launcher 8 from the play store

Love the the monochrome translucent tiles--very nice.

Care to share how you achieved this look?

Thanks, for the phone tile and the other lighter ones I used the color yellow (or moccasin as its labeled) with 50% background transparency. For all the darker tiles, I used black with 70% background transparency.

All done from within launcher 8 no root necessary.

It's been a while since I've used Launcher 8 so I've got a question. Are you able to disable the lock screen now? When I had it a few weeks ago, you couldn't just use the home screen as Launcher 8 and the lock screen as whatever you wanted.

Good question, upon further investigation, I dont think you can. Would be nice to be able to match & choose what lockscreen you use, although I do fancy the launcher 8 lockscreen.

Here's what I am using

My setup on my Galaxy S3. Currently running Task's AOKP 4.2.2 ROM.

Lockscreen using WidgetLocker. And my homescreen. I changed the icons using Icon Changer free and the icon pack from MetroStation.

Very tasteful. What's that calendar widget on the homescreen?

Thanks! I like nice subtle wallpaper on the home screen so the icons pop, and I like the uniformity of the icons using something like Icon Changer. :D

The calendar widget is Simple Calendar Widget from the Play Store. It's got a lot of options and you can adjust the opacity of the background so it's either more transparent or less (or completely, if you like).

Use the stock android browser instead of chrome. Its so much faster than chrome and smoother, especially in jellybean 4.2.

I actually returned the TF101 for a Prime...

Anyway I do agree that the browser is faster than Chrome, but I need to have my phone, nexus 7, Prime, and desktop play nice and sync everything. If only there was a way to get the browser to sync automatically :(

HTC One X+

Went back to a stock look but I still have sense under the hood so I don't lose the great camera features and software.

Widgets used

Launcher - Nova Prime (Jellybean HD Theme)
Clock, Calender and battery percentage - Beautiful widgets
RSS feed - Deer Reader (paid version)
Power widget - widgetsoid
