Don't know if this qualifies as "amazing", but it amazed me:
Wow. I wonder what these police officers are thinking. And what they say when they come home after work: "Hey honey, today I arrested people for dancing!"?
From the YouTube video comments:
The Jefferson Memorial is a nonpublic forum reserved for the tranquil commemoration of Jefferson's legacy. You aren't free to dance where ever, whenever. Would you dance in any courtroom during a trial? in a hospital ER? in the middle of a busy intersection? in a the aisles of an airliner? During a speech at a funeral? Rules are rules. These people were dancing to gain attention / demonstrate / challenge the law. They could dance steps away from this place and not be arrested.
While I think the police were very poor in their way to deal with this, if the dancers were really pushing the law in the place they were in, then they deserved to be arrested.
