although, i must admit. i pull out the netbook (mini note) every full moon.

You say that non of those are full-production models, so can I ask, where did you buy them? Do they have any internals at all? I ask because I am planning on giving a presentation to the PTA at my school in hopes of getting money to buy laptops for the students and I am looking for someplace to by just laptop cases so that I can give them an idea of what they will be getting.

Not quite a gadget I don't use, but will be tomorrow when I get the iPhone. Wasn't a bad phone for the 2.5 years I had it. Expect for a few scratches on the case, everything looks and works great.

Nope

That's what I call an iPod Classic...

I hope it received a dignified burial :D. It would be almost worth keeping it just to have one of the first ones..

I just can't let you think that's anything special. It was my first iPod as well, but that is definitely an iPod with click wheel interface, aka 4th gen. Not even close to one of the first ones. Sorry to burst your bubble.

^^ Killjoy. :) It's still old in my book. I didn't get an iPod till last year - and it was the current gen at the time.

First thing that jumps to mind:

Sony Clié PEG-NX80V
Pretty cool device for it's time. I used to use it in class to take notes (believe it or not) Now it sits in storage. I'd have grabbed it to take a personal picture of it but I'm too lazy to rummage through the storage bins.

The Sony Clie models were nice. Came very close to getting one. :)

Here's one:

Coby CX-CD282 AM/FM/CD/Cassette Stereo - Doesn't really work. When you turn the volume up or down one speaker goes out. I keep it mainly for aesthetics :p

Sega Game Gear - Thought it was pretty sweet when I bought it (I was around 10 I think) even though it ate AA batteries like they were going out of style. I never bought any additional games for it. Still works (kinda) but it freezes during gameplay.

GameBoy Color - Wasted soooo much of my childhood playing with that thing. This was actually my second GBC, as I dropped my first one on concrete and cracked the screen (I was distraught). Quit using it when I bought a GameBoy Advance (couldn't find it to take a picture).

Motorola V323 - Got it when I was a freshman in college. Used it until my contract ended and I bought a Motorola Slvr (still in use).

Motorola Wireless Network Adapter - Never really used it much, bought it for my old HP laptop but either the card or the slot in the computer quit working (never fixed the problem, bought a MacBook soon after anyway).

Polaroid digital camera - Bought it when I was a senior in high school. Liked it because of the compact size and the screen on the back flips out so you can take self portraits pretty easily. Hated the thing though because it takes horrible pictures indoors (with and without flash).

Other items (not pictured):
NES and SNES - They're in boxes in the closet. The NES doesn't work (suffers from the "gray screen of death") but the SNES works perfectly. I put them in storage after buying new furniture for the guest room.

Cool thread. Some of you have a lot of stuff sitting around. Put it on craigslist, you'd be surprised how much money you can get by selling stuff on there. People will buy anything.

Not sure about the others, but most of what I have kept I am somewhat attached to.

Usually I get rid of (give away or sell) items that I no longer need or use.

I've got quite a number of gadgets that I don't use anymore... can't be bothered taking pics of each and every one of them so I'll just list them here:

- Game Boy Color: I have two; one clear and one purple. Both still work!
- PS1: Gave away the console... still play some of the original games on my PS3 from time to time.
- Nintendo DS: I can count the number of times I use this in a year on one hand.
- iPod Nano 1st Gen: My original and 1st iPod. Still recharge it every month or so to keep the battery alive.
- Motorola W375: Great phone.. had it for about two years until I bought my 3G Nokia phone.
- Nokia 3315... The most durable phone. Ever.
- VCR Player: I think we all had one of these....
- PS2: I had the fat edition... I haven't really used it since I bought my PS3.
- Hair Straightener: Just some generic hair straighter that I used up until I bought my GHD.

That's all the gadgets I can think of at the moment.

Home
- 1st gen 1GB black iPod nano
- SNES + 5 games
- A couple old walkmans, one I dropped and although it still played fine the cover would open unless I put tape over it. The second got replaced with the above iPod nano.
- 5.5 gen iPod classic white, 30GB
- I'm hesitant to put my 32GB 2nd gen iPod touch - since I got my iPhone I haven't had much use for it, but still try to listen to it whenever possible.
- Until yesterday, my Xbox 360. However I ended up getting The Beatles: Rock Band for it - as all my friends that would play online have 360s. Considering theyre my favourite band its now going to get a huuuuge workout.
