Is that another Threadless shirt? You seem to shop there often, even though the import fees and delivery charges must be crazy.

When they have $5 sales it's stupid not to get a few shirts!
Last time I did a big order (8 shirts) the shipping was about $20 and I got hit with an £8 import charge.

Yes, We're on the same level.

Nah, don't shop there very often... but I did go completely overboard during the recent spring cleaning sale...got 21 shirts (7 x 3).

I avoid import fees as long as each shipment are under NOK 200 ($35-$40) ex. shipping, so I can get 2 shirts per shipment normally, 3 during sales...

Of course shipping fees aren't cheap, but - especially on sale when I get 3 shirts per shipment - the $/NOK exchange rate helps...a lot... ;)

All in all, the shirts are just a tad more expensive than buying plain, regular t-shirts from H&M (not the cheapest brand, but the second cheapest)...and where's the fun in that... :p

Mitthrawnuruodo, where did you get that t-shirt? A bit of Googling has failed to turn it up anywhere. :)
Cafe Press : Obey the Kitty!

Edit: That's actually the shirt I'm wearing today... :)
...but the Photo Booth camera on the office iMac seems to have gone on strike, and I cannot restart because of a stupid project that another user has open on another login... :(

what kind of symbol is that on your wall and is it cold where you're at?

The symbol is an Arabic letter. There is no real reason why I chose this specific one. I just liked the way it looked and wanted something to decorate my wall.

And no, it was rather warm today (which is why I'm wearing a T-shirt).

^ I like ur shirt

Thanks, although that photo really is awful. The shirt really is nice. I know I shouldn't say that, as it's something I own and it sounds rather conceited, but it's really difficult to photograph, especially sitting in a busy library, where I can't just stand up and take a photo of myself. There's always another time.

Kind of says it all ;)

Fantastically cool shirt.

Even the font is nice, and I'm not a graphic designer or into that sort of thing, so it must really be fitting.

Ok, so you avoided import fees, but during the sale, was each shirt discounted heavily? If not, it must have cost you a fortune. Did paying for 7 shipments really save you money over a single shipment with all 21 shirts? You'd have to pay the import tax, but I assume you'd save money on the delivery fee.

Yeah... and you can pay quite a few shipping fees when the alternative is to pay 25% VAT and a flat NOK 120** (≈ $23) customs fee (or it was that the last time I actually had to pay it...been avoiding it ever since). ;)

Each shipment with 3 shirts was just over $40 incl. shipping (each shirt was $9-12 plus about $10 shipping), so the total was about $300 ≈ NOK 1500, which means each shirt was just over NOK 70, all included, and if you compare that to the cheapest plain H&M shirts at NOK 49 and the ones I normally get at NOK 79, then it's actually quite cheap... :)

Oh, and only 19 of the shirts were for me...2 were for my girlfriend... :p

** Edit: I was wrong...the fee can be as high as NOK 196 (almost $40), though I can reduce it to NOK 97 (but then I have to do all the work myself).

I always seem to post from the library.

Here's me. It's around 5 years old, but from 5 feet away, it still looks respectable. :p I never wear the jacket, but I am today. I have no idea why. I wore it once last winter. It's getting to be winter again in Australia, and I can wear it and not look weird.
