This Mountain - Future Ghost

Got it from their Kickstarter, all the tracks are great (the Future Ghost 1&2 tracks are just short transitions though). Also been listening to another Kickstarter album that came in:

Chase This City - All That's On Your Mind.

My apologies if there are any problems with the screenshots, I am at work right now and this company blocks images so I am grabbing bandcamp shortcuts blindly.

Macklemore

I ran into them today on the internet. Interesting stuff out of Seattle. I Pre-ordered the album and should get it next month.

Macklemore is amazing. His songs are like no other that I've heard. I really like Irish Celebration by him in collaboration with Ryan Lewis.

I understand that Macklemore is separate from Ryan Lewis. 'The Heist' is a collaboration of both of their efforts, and everything I've read on their site makes it seem as if you can use Macklemore as the name of the band ON TOP of the rapper's name.

i.e. Their merch store if part of Macklemore LLC.

It seems like Ryan Lewis does more of the directing and photographic vision for the group while doing the instrumental for the track.s

There are albums that Macklemore did alone, and there are albums which he did with Ryan Lewis. It's not a big deal, I just wanted to let you know that Macklemore is a single person, not the name of a band.

Have you heard Irish Celebration?

I'm very strongly considering going to see Macklemore and Ryan Lewis live in concert at Red Rocks on Sept 29.

Yeah, I listened to that a few times today. It reminded me of Kenji - Fort Minor.

They aren't coming anywhere near me on their concert tour, I'll have to try for next tour.

I agree. Only Macklemore song that I like without Ryan Lewis is And We Danced and American. I like American for the same reason that I like the Penis Song; for the comedic aspect of it. Oh and Thrift Shop is fantastic.

Anyone else like Macklemore?

Picked up Cat Power & Metric while at Target tonight. I'm really getting into Cat Power with my Vodka + design evening. Before now, I've never listened to her. She is pretty exciting.

Metric is reserved for tomorrow.

Lately I've been listening to Thievery Corporation's Culture of Fear A LOT. I bought the album when it first came out but didn't caught me like their previous albums did. But now it has grown on me. :)
