I never heard of them, how do they compare to Beretta or Glock?
Springfield Armory is growing in popularity pretty fast. Glocks are the most popular but I wanted something different. These feel really good in my hand. The XDM 9mm is 19+1 without having a longer grip. The XD9 Mod.2 comes with a fiber optics front site for faster site picture and acquisition. As you can see, they come with these cases, 2 magazines, belt and paddle holsters, and quick magazine loader ($87 value). In additon to that, Springfield Armory has a special offer right until 1/1/2016 where I get an additional 2 magazines, 2 pistol carry bag and double magazine belt clip. $135 value with any Springfield Armory pistol purchase. Since I got 2 pistols, I'll have a total of 8 magazines, 4 double magazine belt holders, and 2 carry bags. I couldn't pass up this deal. I did a lot of research for this and all I see a really good reviews for Springfield Armory.

I don't know if that magazine holder is going to do any good. Doesn't it make grabbing one of the magazines hard since its at a different angle?

lol so you're saying just because it's at a different angle, it's useless? The answer is no. It actually makes it easier to pull either magazine because they aren't right beside each other and you don't grab both by accident.

Since I am doing an internship abroad in Spain till April 2016 I went home for surprising my family at home for Christmas and New Year.

This year I did get from them for Christmas:
  • BeoPlay A8 True Black Edition (bought it for myself for Christmas)
  • Porsche Prototype limited edition espresso cups
  • Coffee for my Illy espressomachine
  • Christmas tree from black chocolate
  • Pepernoten (this are a sort of small cookies)

I never said that. As for grabbing both by accident, out of my 9 years of shooting, I've never grabbed both my magazines.

I'm just saying, one of the magazines is making you pull it out the opposite direction. But do each his own, have fun and be safe at the range.

They came with the pistols so I can't complain.

it's not a very good mag holder for any quick loading. I do a little comp shooting and defensive courses and I use Blade Tech for handgun and magazines. I didn't personally care for either the holster or mag holders that came with the XDM but they're good to start with, again it may be great for some.
I have the XDM 9mm 4.5. Only thing I've done was put some talon rubberized grips and fiber sights. It has been a solid shooter with zero problems and I've run over a thousand rounds through it since picking it up a few months ago.

I have a IWB holster anyway. The holster that came with mine will pretty much be used at the range only.

Luckily I did't use my savings to buy an Apple Watch at the beginning of this month! I was planning on getting one when Best Buy dropped the price by $100, but I decided to save up for my trip to London. However, my mom saw the exact same deal and got me one for Christmas! Just the look on her face alone when I opened it, definitely one of the best gifts I've ever gotten.

Now, I wonder how many of you may have had THREE ibooks for Christmas............?

These were delivered to me.

3 iBooks.jpg

They will all give me hours of pleasure. Especially this one:-
143 pages of great colour/b&w images and brief descriptions looking back over 35 years of Apple design.
Just some of the photos on page 96 of the Mac Powerbook 170 LPGA Special (Lego?) Edition make this book a real treat!

Iconic.jpg

With these 3 books as presents, I now believe that the family are taking me seriously as a true AppleMac fan!

I have reached that age where gifts are no longer the important part of my christmas. If anything, I find it more fun to give presents to my near ones, rather than receiving them myself. Most importantly, I embrace the moment of spending time together with my family, this really means more than anything else during christmas.

Anyway, I did received a few things which made me very, very happy.

- A Paul Hewitt Bracelet from my GF

- A brand new set of K2 Skis from my family. Complete with bindings. Also a Scott Scream helmet which I picked out at Black Friday.

- Fallout 4 from my GF. Amazing game so far. Really like it! :D
- Money for travels from my family. Who doesn't love to travel?
- Nautical style bedding from my mom, like it a lot. So much in fact that I might save them till I have my own place.
- Other stuff

Depends on what Beretta or Glock.. The Beretta PX4 Storm [ Compact ], for me, was more accurate and the trigger had very little uptake. What I didn't like about the PX4 Storm was the DA. As for Glocks, nothing compares to the G19.. and I'm also in love with my new G43 and G20 (10mm)

The XD Series is a great pistol, but I just couldn't it get to be accurate... almost like my S&M Shield 9mm.. Of course, it's not the gun, it's me.. I'm damn good with the Glocks [ ~1.5" groups at 25 yards ] and the Sig P320 (which is one amazing pistol!!)
