A friend gave me an intermittently working 1st Gen Nano a year or so ago, it was pretty beat up not even worth it as a collectable, so I sent it in to the battery recall and got this back! (In Silver though)

Also a very generous woman at work decided to cover the cost of my uni classes this semester because I can't afford them.

When I ordered my Audio Technica's from Amazon, they said I qualified for a $2  mp3 credit. So after careful deliberation, I wanted to be sure, and spend it wisely...

The main theme. Lalo Schifrin kicks so much ass!

I also saw Haywire this Friday, and once again loved the work of David Holmes so got a track from it's soundtrack.

Will be buying the rest of the soundtrack this weekend.

My Aunt managed to get two from work. It was amazing of her!

Early 2011 MacBook Pro
2.3 GHz Dual core i5
4GB RAM
320GB HD
13" screen
Thunderbolt I/O

Makes a great portable. Never had a 13" before, it's a lovely size but maybe a bit too small to do any work on. Great for Internet/email though.

Free upgrade to 64GB iPhone from Apple. I had a 32GB and they did it because I spent two patient days at an Apple store while they tried to figure out my problem.

It pays to be nice :)

It's not much, but they were from Rotosound to try and persuade me to use their strings again.

Went to the local bike shop on my 27 mile ride today (first sunny day in February above freezing) to buy a chainbreaker tool so I can get my dad's old Motobecane down to the bare frame. It was $17 for the tool. Then I asked about these waterbottles that they had. The woman working there told me it was $6. Then she said "Actually, I can just give it to you." I was happy! But I had no place to put it, so I just stuck it in my jersey pocket. I also got some of their stickers.

The shop is called Salvagetti.

The French definitely know how to make a bike! :) Speaking of water bottles, I'm thirsty as heck! I ran out of soda... I'm bummed out...

How are things down in New Orleans to the poster from there?
Have you gone to Mardi Gras yet? My dad used to go to New Orleans... not for Mardi Gras but for work, sometimes. He loves that city. I'm sure the food, music and folks there are great.

How's the town doing period? Did all the houses destroyed by Katrina get renovated yet? Are some neighborhoods still in bad shape?
Floods are bad news, for sure....

However, the base to charge it got trashed by a bad landlord we had... the metal device you're supposed to plug it into is all twisted and bent now.
where can you get a new charger for the old Nano Ipods? it's the little square silver devices. There's no video or nothing on it, just songs, but I want to download MORE songs to it.
How am I going to do that if I don't have its original charger, is my question?

I was given a free month of service because an AT&T phone rep was extremely rude to me during a call. Thanks for the $137, dummy. I hope it comes off of your paycheck.

The wife won an iPad2 at some trade show for her job. I managed to go a week without touching it so I didn't get iPad fever. I've been infected and now I really want one.
