Well, it's not free. But I had the opportunity to purchase this machine for €50,- with the charger!
It needed a reinstall (10.8.4) and was good to go. When I was looking for the serial number I found the sticker saying " Apple Certified Reconditioned". So, it must have been a refurbished Mac.
2.5Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB DDR2
200GB HD
Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT 512MB
It works well. It might need more ram and an SSD and a new topcase since some keys don't work.
Ah well, It's just for fun.

Found a 1st gen ipod nano and replaced it with apples exchange program to get one of these

I recently been given a mouse for my ibook G4 now I am looking for a 2008 model MacBook white or black as I cannot afford a new one. I have a mild intellectual impairment with a learning disability. I am looking to see if anyone has one of these preloved white or black macbooks that are free to a good home. I had plans to get a few then rebuild one so that I can use it to suit my needs. My brother doesn't let me use his computer but I sneak any way, he upgraded his operating system to windows 8 I found it too complicating and hard to use so I've gone back to using my ibook. So now I'm looking around every where to see if anyone is giving away one of these black or white macbooks for free to good home.

Apple has a program where you can send in a 1st gen ipod nano and will give you a 6th gen. It's for the recall of the batteries in the 1st gens. it's been going on for at least 2 years now
A Macbook 5,2, Mid-2009. Its has some fluid damage. The mouse button doesn't work and one of the ram slots make it crash if there's a module in it. Otherwise it runs decently. Oh and the top cover is cracked.
