I made a 1:1 cardboard iMac to determine if 27" was too big. Now it just taunts me that I haven't received the real one yet.

at least you don't have to worry about dead pixels on that one , and its completely silent to boot

I was actually looking into converting mine but it seems like a lot of work. Apple really needs one with black keys!

Got my 2012 27" delivered last night (to replace my 2009 27"). 3.4GHz i7 w 3TB Fusion Drive and NVIDIA 680MX. Pimped it out with 32GB of 3rd party RAM. Man, is Safari ever snappy on this thing!

What desk is that? Does it fully wrap around you like a u-shape desk would?

Yeah, I figured I'd eventual get some flack for that but rest assured that is actually Parallels running in full screen mode. I use a family photo for my wallpaper on my Mac and I was too lazy to switch it out for the pic.

Nope. It actually ends with a rounded corner just past where the picture is cut off.
