There's so much research into this hobby!

After some research,

I want a saltwater nano; looking at Mr. Aqua 7.5 Gallon Cube (12 x 12 x 12).. I want a true black percula and some coral / maybe some shrimp/snails. Figuring out this dry rock/live rock, pH, ammonia, nitrite, etc. is so confusing lol even figuring out what lamps I need or heater/cooler or powerhead is hard enough.

I like to be prepared. ;)

I have many tanks running and I am always changing my setups. Currently I have:

45 gallon reef tank
75 gallon saltwater tank
55 gallon native tank
29 gallon freshwater tank
20 gallon freshwater Angelfish tank
20 gallon long "swamp" tank
And a pond in my yard that I keep native fish in.

I will be posting pictures of all of these eventually. ;)

Here is a video of feeding time in the native tank.

(Disclaimer: Live feeding means some fish ARE harmed in this video, don't watch it if you can't handle nature)

YouTube: video

OMG those fish are cannibals!!! ;)

My two 6 year old fancy goldfish. Used to have 3 but unfortunately one of them passed away earlier this year. 40g tank. Had to take off some ornaments to make it more comfortable for them.

This must be one of the best threads in the Picture Gallery. I can't stress enough how wonderful many of your aquariums are. A sight for sore eyes!

My contribution is maybe a bit boring but I like it:

It is a "plant only" tank. I love waterplants and needed an extra lightsource in the livingroom. Some time after I got one of the plants I found Frank, a little snail that was hiding between the leaves. I have cared for him since, I don't have it in me to throw him away.

Here's a pic of my 75 gallon. Just redid the decoration to make it a little more lively. The fish currently in the tank are cycling the water for me, so I can add my desired occupants, a couple green terror cichlids.

I've recently had the urge to get a set-up going, Ill have to do some reading up.

Any recommendations on starter tank size? not look for something extremely small.

Godzilla is my pet salamander (aka waterdog or mudpuppy). He lives in my 20 gallon "swamp" tank. He looked like a giant tadpole when I got him but then grew legs. He loves earthworms but doesn't have any teeth so he literally has to wrestle them and swallow them alive. Sometimes it will take him all day to defeat the worm.

YouTube: video

That Salamander is amazing I want 1, this will prob sound stupid but can you like interact with it?

Heres my Fresh Water Setup

I miss having an aquarium. Since I got divorced I had to give mine up. The big orange fish is Terrance. He would lay eggs in the tank and be a mean SOB to the other fish in the tank when he did. So whenever he did lay the eggs I let him protect them for a day or two then would rub them off the rock for the other fish to eat. He was kind of like a dog but a fish, always happy to see me when I came home from work.

75 Gallons
Lots and lots of live plants
Pressurized CO2 system
65x4 power compact fluorescent lighting
