If we have a digital photography forum, why not post the cameras we have?

I have a widned lens and stuff, but I find it hard to take clear photos becuase the camera is so heavy it shakes. And with the flash, I get a round black shadow in the pics.

Now that I said that, Does anyone know what can be done to fix this?

pWn3D! n00b extreme amateur camera! :p

It's a Canon Powershot S100 with a res. of 1600x1200 (I want a widescreen camera:( ). I use it with a 32 MB and a 16 MB CF card. I have both a USB and Composite connector for it (for connection to TV, came with it). It's perfect for family use and taking pictures for fun (though the fun task has been taken over by my iSight:D ). Anyways, I really like Canon, and this is a sweet $50 camera.

What happened to my post?

Anyway, I have 2 very common cameras.......a Canon IXUS 40/SD300, and a Nikon D50. I won't post a photo of the IXUS 40 because you probably have one or know someone who has one, but I'll post one of my "I-have-too-much-time-on-my-hands" photos.

I also have a Sony DSC-N1 which I use as my P&S when I am not in the mood to bring my DSLR...

Its a real POS

Sony generally makes really good P&S cameras. Maybe you just got a bad copy?

Very nice compact camera. :)

Wish I could afford a digital SLR, though, I miss the feeling of my old OM-1...

Yeah, that is a nice camera. :)

If I were getting a small point and shoot, I'd consider getting either that one, or the 720 SW, which is the one I really really want. It's waterproof up to 3 metres, perfect for snorkelling. :) Costs a bit more than yours, though.

I like yours if I had to get a non-waterproof camera, although I know yours is "weather-proof". Actually, your camera is so "weatherproof" that you can dunk your camera into a bucket of water and leave it there for awhile, and it'll still be ok. Just don't swim with it.

How are you finding the 24-105? Any problems with softness that seems to have been pretty prevalent with the first batch of lenses?

I have had it for about a month now and haven't had any issue so far.

Sony Cybershot DSC-N1. 8.1 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, 3" touch screen. Sadly, it belongs to my parents. :D

My PowerShot A520 is a little camera shy in the picture I tried to take, but it is a pretty good camera. Its only 4mp, but I don't need more, and the pics look great.
