Just made it tonight since I'll be spending the winter break at school (don't really have an answer as to why) and thus spending my 18th birthday....alone.

Kinda sucks.

Oh, tree and ornament purchased from local 99¢ store. LED christmas lights are homemade--aka ripped out of miscellaneous keychains I had around the dorm.

That's very creative. :)

I ended up spending Christmas Eve and Day alone one year. I was recently separated and my son was spending the holiday with his father's family. I decided to make a bunch of plans for the day to make the time go by with useful and fun things to do, and then I made myself a nice dinner and watched a good movie. If I'd been completely at loose ends, I could've volunteered at one of the places where people with no family/home etc can go.

You'd be surprised, it's not all that bad to have to be alone just for the one time, and probably a good experience to have had. Just make some sort of plan.

this is what I see when I look through the bedroom window.
luckily they turn it off at around midnight.


as for myself: i don't have any decorations put up.
