Fantastic idea and a very nice setup to get the ball rolling, I'm envious of the space you have there!

With a nice setup like this Shrink, I gather the process is almost a meditative one for you? My setup is a lot simpler, but it is definitely a ritual process for me. Not quite as elaborate as the Japanese tea brewing ceremonies, but heading there.

You hit it right on the head. The well practiced, almost choreographed, movements involved on making espresso is certainly ritualized...if not meditative, it is calming!

Stunning setup...:)

Thank you, Mate. It took a long time, and a few $$, but it now is pretty much in good shape.:D

So many coffee maestros here! I get my coffee fix really simple. This is great when I need to feel some 'digital nomading' while getting a little bit of work done outside.

I actually love and prefer the Coffee Bean to Starbucks on many occasions.. :)

No machines here. Chemex with a Hario hand grinder.

I like to use dark roast coffee from local roasters such as Baltimore Coffee & Tea, Mayorga, and Zeke's.

I love my Chemex!!!! Such a great way to make coffee. I don't have a grinder, so I grind my beans when I buy them. Then I freeze the grounds to preserve them. It works great, but I would prefer to freshly grind my coffee. I usually get my beans from World Market. I love their Italian Roast.. :D

I totally agree with you. I am permanently stuck with The Original Mocha now, probably because I like my coffee with a very slight tinge of bitterness.
My favorite drinks from there is the Original Vanilla and Chai Mate Ice Blended. Such deliciousness. I don't mind the tinge of bitterness, but usually I prefer something sweet. I prefer bold coffee in general however.

I don't drink coffee often, I prefer tea but I do have a machine if I have guest who do love coffee instead of tea.

Not even one Nespresso-machine. I'm surprised! Are they unavailable in the US or simply not popular? :) (I don't drink coffee btw).
