Ping is a bit crappy, but speeds are nice. Paid for by my online charter high school.

When it gets to a stage where you can't watch a YouTube video even in 240p you know you need to upgrade.

;) eh, a normal result from my home

What do you do with a connection speed that fast!? Do you live inside the server?

I couldn't hope to have that kind of speed in 8 years time.

I'd just be downloading stuff, uploading, streaming 5 different things at the same time, all the time if I had that speed.

:( I hate living in the middle of nowhere... There's fibre optic cable running down my "road" as well but it's STFC use only...

HAHA! No I live in Hong Kong, it's a home connection.. I was fortunate enough to move into a building that has FTTH (Fibre to the home, the cable runs straight into my modem). Most people can only get 100mb here, so I'm quite lucky.

I do a lot of work from home based machines (either sitting at home, or remotely), downloading/uploading to various clients servers here in HK, so the speed is VERY welcome.

Where are you based, such that you don't think you will have that in 8 years?

Cornwall. South West England.

On a good day I may be able to get a speed of 30mbs, so yours is more than 23 times that!.

And we only recently upgraded our internet. Before that it was more like 7mbs. Yours is 100 times better than that. I think you must be in the top 0.001% of the world. Good luck to you :)

Internet traffic is acting weird in my area. I normally see better results than this.

Hello sir pom :) I'm Aussie :D

Similar story in Australia really, the Internet there is pretty bad, ADSL is the most common connection and that's really effected by distances (ironic, especially given that Australia is so damn far!). I'm quite happy with my Internet speeds, and it's justified a lot by the type of large transfers of data that I use to/from work, etc. Not to mention that it's free, so I don't care either way haha!
