Most be hard to see too.



You can make them pop up when you mouse over them. I have that on my 13" MBP. My dock isn't as small as he has his, but when I mouse over the icons they pop up really big. Makes them easier to see when you need them, less intrusive on the background when you don't. Its an option in Settings>Dock
