New month... new desktop... the British Museum in London
I would like to use Bowtie but I can't get it to work!My humble contribution to this thread this early April
Wallpaper is my color mod of SPLINES_1 available from here (name a fair price) https://gumroad.com/jmdenis
Bowtie theme is one of my older ones that I thought needed a showcase for this - because it fits well. I don't think it's released in this appearance anywhere yet.
And I doubt anyone uses much of Bowtie anyway anymore.
Icons are my own - still in progress - drive is re-made earlier today with better lower pixel recognition for that 16px and 32px icon states.
The system icons are made possible to change, even with SIP still active, by using IconChamp. It's in beta and available on the macEnhance Discord server at least.
The pinned messages for the IconChamp channel contains useful information to allow testing and change the system icons; including all the Home folders and System applications.
IconChamp screenshot is included as a thumbnail - showing the Home folder section

Believe you me.. I too miss those days. I can't get my time machine to work or else you'd all be welcome to join.Alan, this is bringing back so much nostalgia! Gosh, I miss MacThemes.

Thanks Allan... I tried editing the plist to no avail. Is it because of newer Mac - an M1 Mac?
Bowtie has a thing for Spotify in order to fully work like in the past. It functions fine here, I know that's not saying much.
Yesterday, I logged in on Spotify's website and use Opera's Spotify player sidebar and even that one would make Bowtie pick up on artist, track and time remaining.
Again, that's Spotify.
Music app on Big Sur and iTunes before that has major issues with Bowtie or the other way around in that Music isn't an option for Bowtie to pick up on.
The only way to make Music on Big Sur appear for Bowtie is to edit the plist for Music to have it identify as iTunes and even then there's no real time remaining - Bowtie does pick up on artist and track however. There's also the option of installing the iTunes version via Retroactive.
I haven't yet tried installing the lowest available version number in that app for use with Bowtie. I think there's something more missing in order to get right back to where it all was working when Bowtie was released.
