Here are shots of my G5 and TiBook desktops. I'm a bit of a Tron fan, as you can see… :)

The G5 has Mountain Leopard and the Yosemite icon themes installed, with a lot of icon additions that I've converted and added myself (I need to update that Numbers icon, I see). The TiBook has the original OS 9 Platinum theme, with iMacolor, opcolourlight, Power Windows, and Smoothtype installed as well. The font is IdiomSSK, from a font CD posted on Macintosh Garden. I searched high and low for a decent font that wouldn't turn too fuzzy with Smoothtype, and this one fits the bill for me.

You are going to get along fantastically with RedCroissant. He is also a very big Tron fan. ;)

Decided to go with a new theme this week after getting the Quicksilver back up.

The photo is a picture of a P-51D Mustang named…Quick Silver.

I thought it was appropriate! :D

Note, only two screens this time just for the icons and main screen. The other four would just be redundant.

I actually saw Quick Silver fly over once. They must have been doing a show nearby. The plane is just gorgeous; they really did a beautiful job with it. Everybody should hear a Merlin powered aircraft flying low overheard at least once in their lifetime.

Totally agree!

The 51Ds though used the Packard V-1650, a licensed copy of the Merlin.

I can only imagine how beautiful that engine sounds when you need air support. The P-51s are just awesome, awesome machines.

Back when I first moved here to where we now live (1965), one of the locals had a P51 for a private big-boy toy.
I've seen it in action on more then one occasion at the local air shows.
His usual approach was a very low approach from behind a hill or a timbered ridge, then buzz the crowd at full power, from near silence to a very loud roar.
You could not help but be impressed at the speed and sound of sheer power.

These are my backgrounds.

The iMac G5 has a normal Green Grass wallpaper (original Apple). :)

And then my PowerMac G5 has a Mercedes G63 (cause you've gotta love G Wagons). ;)

Here's the current wallpaper I'm using on my G5... got it from Windows 10 Spotlight (which appears on the lock screen if enabled):

Compliments my theme nicely!

eyoungren how did you get the black bar?
Download this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1932210/Black_Theme.zip

Inside is a Magnifique theme called Black OS X (and Magnifique). Copy Magnifique to your Applications folder and run it or just double click on the theme after you copy over Magnifique.

The theme modifies your windows and menubar, although I think you can exclude everything else but the menubar. Haven't opened Magnifique in quite some time so I don't recall.

In that zip file is also Candybar and the dock I use. Just delete them if you don't want them.

Last but not least, you need to turn off transparency on your menubar - even if you Mac does not support it. If the option is not present in System Preferences>Desktop & Settings then you'll need to use either the Secrets prefpane or Onyx to set the menubar to white or gray.

thank you eyoungren, very kind reply! i installed the theme but in my mac black windows have black fonts so it is unreadable and i got back to the stock theme. Is there a way to fix this?
Well, It should not affect your Finder windows unless you are viewing them as Icons. And some apps (like Onyx) are difficult to read.

I've just learned to live with that because the overall effect is what I wanted.

The menubar itself should adjust, i.e., your icons should change to white. But stuff like Dropbox icons, iStat Menus icons, etc you'll have to manually change their colors.
