Because . why not do something .
Dark version of a NickelCobalt theme that isn't NickelCobalt, but I love the idea of it. Challenges lies ahead.
We'll get there some day.
My light version of this theme is in turn a little less developed as I figure out things.

This looks neat. What do I need to get started with something like this?
Is this some kind of theming software like Window Blinds on Windows?

you'll need a couple of things; which most people aren't willing to do; System Integrity Protection has to be off for the entire use of the injection and theme use. It's just something that has to be done for this to happen.. and a little something more if you're interested.
We're usually not here, but on Discord where the developer and only a handful of themers hang out. We're quite a few more members, but the well is running dry on the amount of us active themers - that is to say, that the imagination is working just fine, it's just fresh blood we need. Or more of it(actual people)
There's no WindowBlinds as for Windows... this is not as point and click and adjust a few colors as WindowBlinds / SkinStudio is (sort of - I know there's more to it) There's not visual representation of how things actually look. But of course, you can get a gist of it as you're progressing. You will also need of course a graphics program capable of exporting PNG files(most does this) And a willingness to understand how small a community we really are. That's all.
My theme here currently consists of 410 individual PNG files (some 205 for 1x resolution like 1920x1080 and 205 PNG files for 2x monitor resolutions such as 5120x2880)

I'm not really that keen on disabling any system protection for themes - however some sort of install (off a DMG or similar) would tempt me,
Something on the lines of Shapeshifter, or Flavours - to which you contributed greatly would be fantastic!
I remember the Window blinds days back when I was running XP - I always themed my PC to look like a Mac. Now I'm on Mac I want it to look a little different - to the point of an Aqua interface. (?)
Not too keen on my mac looking like my iPhone... progress I guess.

Great job Allan - inspiring to say the least!

Even with Shapeshifter and Flavours, themeing macOS was always harder than Windows. When I think back of ThemePark, oh boy...
Even more so, cheers to Allan and his colleagues for keeping it up.

Thanks for the reply. I had no idea it would be that involved.

I’m tempted to get into this. I spent soooo much time theming Windows XP back then. Starting with downloaded themes and getting into making my own… but I’ll have to admit I had a lot more time for that sort of thing back then :[

I'm sorry, but I got royally screwed up today. My only excuse is that I'm old, very old. I posted that desktop picture in both July and August. Let's just call it a double exposure!
No worries. Didn't mean to be harsh (apologies if I was)... and it's not like I've never done that before! :D :D
