Certainly not! I have mine on the right side, though. Here's mine (turn your head sideways, clockwise):Am I the only one here that uses the Dock vertically?
If it isn't running, it isn't in the dock. And if it is, I don't see it anyway. I don't see a need for the dock.
No, I haven't used the Dock in the 2.5+ years I've had a MBP. I set it to hide within the first week of it getting in the way all the time. Spotlight, Quicksilver, and now LaunchBar are much easier and faster for launching, etc. I think launching apps via clicking with a mouse on the dock very cumbersome by comparison.Isn't it easier to add some heavily used apps to the dock for easier/quicker access?
If anybody needs any help with the icons, let me know, and I'll clarify what's what.
