Going to try out Pages instead of Microsoft Word, spoke with AppleCare for a long time about an issue I was having with my MacBook Pro, and we eventually got on the topic of Microsoft and it got recommended so well see how this goes. It definitely cleans up my dock!

What theme do you use for your dock and icons please?
No theme on the dock and I got most of my icons from this thread
Do you need to import each icon seperately?
I press get info on the app and then copy the icon into the image preview
That would take ages! Fair play to people that spend time doing it looks amazing just all that time changing icons! Hahah!
Just found this thread but it's definitely giving me ideas on how to redo my dock. Needless to say I keep a lot of icons on there....
Finder - Launchpad - Expose - App Store - Mail (I know, unhealthy amount of unread messages. Spam filter's not catching it all ) - Chrome - Coconut battery.... well, it will take a while for the whole list but you guys get it

Its only frustrating when they have updates, its really not too time consuming, maybe a minute for every 5 icons
