The "Flower Power" is very retro and both of them are indeed good for those who want character in their computer. Of course, I like all Macs so I am biased. It is easy to convert girls to becoming mac users because they like pretty computers and that is what Apple makes.

I was a proud user of a Blue Dalmatian! I loved that it was so unique. I didn't think I'd like it until I saw it in person. Several friends at the time commented on it, and never in a bad way. I loved not having a fan and making loud noises all the time since it was in our bedroom.

I no longer use it and actaully am looking to sell it...I would have thought it was a collectors item, but I can't find any refeences to it anywhere really. It's in the original box right now, but I'll try to get it out and take a photo, so everyone can actually see one in a home!

Flower Power

This is a long time in coming, because I don't much care what other people think, as long as it doesn't hurt me. But you know what? I love my Flower Power iMac. I've had other Macs before and since. But the iMac is the only brand new Macintosh I've ever had. And I have no intention of getting rid of it.

Can you post a picture of it?

Please? Pretty please? :p

I have a Flower Power in the original box and all original accoutrements in the garage. I guess I should take it out and crank it up. I think I tried to put 10.3 on it and it was too slow. Going back to OSX is like, where's Spotlight???

i thought the Blue Dalmation was biitchin!

anyway, I don't own either of these, but I do have a lime green iBook, which is nearly as infamous. is that close enough to warrant a setup photo?

Sorry, the lime green iBook isn't quite there. The Tangerine iBook, which was in fact dropped from the lineup because of poor sales, would be worth it, however.

Somewhere on the forum I have an old picture of my flowerpower iMac. It is in the garage right now, haven't used it in several years. I loved the G3 iMacs and flowerpower was my favorite. I have a snowball in the garage too.

Any gadget that is female marketed brings extremely negative responses. I know, I had a vivienne tam net book too. ;)

At one time I was interested in collecting vintage Macs but I talked myself out of it. The flower is someone elses, the fish tank is mine.

While I don't have any G3 iMacs at the moment, I did use several of them (blue, flower, and dalmatian). The flower one wasn't as nice as the dalmatian, and I kind of like the blue one more (I'd love to see an orange one).
