never got a picture of it. The BSoD was not the funny part. My reaction was hella funny though. I was at work with my MBP and under Vista trying to access a network file server that was already mapped to vista. Every time I just clicked on the NFS drive even just one click I would get a BSoD (see my sig). My reaction was something along the lines of "F#*@ stupid s$*& is this? This is a F#&%ing Mac for F&#% sakes, what the F&#% is happening to my poor Mac? It's a F&#%ing BSoD, I don't even see how this could happen."

This goes over well in a corporate office.

I seem to miss all the cool ones with my camera. Like traffic signs, ATMs, LED billboards and the like.

Too bad they don't realize that they simply can't compete with Wal*Mart or Target in the US. They need to understand the different regions of the US and the different subcultures that live there before trying to take on the Super store market here. Especially since they don't seem to do anything differently from Wal*Mart. Target is still doing well (better each year) because they think outside the box when it comes to the Super store. Service is first along with speed, fresh designs and a very clean and logically layout. All these things are something Wal*Mart seriously lacks.

And now for mine.

Picture 1: Basically, I was walking through the one of the Tyson Corners Gallerias (malls) on my way to the Apple store (Picture 2) when I saw this on an ATM. Ohhhh the irony, since I could see the Apple store (and logo) from the ATM. It was hilerious! Not quite a BSOD but still just as bad as the system had totally crashed.

I can't find the pictures of it, but there was a redbox in Wal-Mart and it had the Dell boot screen. The worst part is that it was up for over a month! ;) It was awesome. I must have heard at least 5 people say, "D*** Windows!" Totally awesome. :)

Space Shuttle exhibit on USS Intrepid museum in NYC. I hope the real shuttle doesn't doesn't run Windows
They just might, couple of years ago a friend of mine designed interfaces for the computers in spaceshuttles. He said most of them ran on windows, usually a version which is a couple of years old so they had the time to work out all the kinks themselves.

Good thread!

Here's one I saw in the gents in Walkabout last year. First time I've ever seen Windows crash at a urinal.

Just a poor phone pic so it doesn't quite convey the hilarity of the situation.

As for Tesco, they're your classic "evil but convenient". Morally I hate them because they ruthlessly crush small businesses and generally bully their way around. However I still shop there sometimes because it's just so convenient, and cheap, everything you can ever need is in one place.

And a Photoshop image I put together back when Vista (Longhorn) was still under development.
