Close enough, but besides just either tone or volume, you can change the pickup from series to parallel, use it as a phase shifter, tap a guitar/bass pickup if there are enough wires, or split a guitar/bass pickup as far as I know.

There are probably a lot more uses for this push-pull pot. It's an old tech way to modify the sound of the guitar which could be done excellently with digital signal processing where a guitar could be made to sound like something it isn't, like a sax or keyboard.

A suit. I have some job interviews coming up (hopefully!) and I do not have a suit to wear to them...

(I tried shopping today but some weird lady that appeared to be a customer kept following me and telling me that "red heads don't look good in black suits" over and over so I left.)

And its not necessarily this suit, but a black suit is what I'll buy.
