Nice, I've been eyeing the 404 MAXs 58mm.

I'm looking to pick up one of these soon.

I ended up getting Bontrager (HED) Aeolus 5.0s instead, at over $1000 off with a cassette and appropriate brake pads thrown in.

The cassette is a bit higher geared than the other one on my previous wheels - I should be able to manage it easily with the lighter weight. I haven't weighed the bike yet, but it feels a lot lighter than before and looks the business! :D

It's the ultimate for Sunday morning coffee shop bragging rights. :D

I didn't get to test it out yesterday because the brakes needed to be adjusted for the new pads:

1. take the Shimano pads out of the shoes (they are tight so it's in the vice with the brake shoes and tap the pads out with a mallet)
2. Put the new cork pads in (tap them in with a mallet)
3. Put the shoes on the bike
4. The thickness of the pads is different, have to adjust the brakes so they have the correct clearance to the wheels
5. Line them up with the braking surface on the wheels

And by that time, over an hour had passed and it was too dark and cold to go out.

I'm going to get another set of brake shoes today and another set of normal pads so I can quickly swap the wheels and pads over. ;)

I'm looking to pick up one of these soon.

Nice BMC! :) Don't see too many of them around my location, everyone has Scott, Cannondales or Specialized.

That's awesome, I'd definitely say money well spent. I'm sure it does look the business too :D. Good idea with getting the extra pads. Once you have it dialed in, I'd really like to see some updated pics of your bike.

I always enjoy the design of European vehicles!

Pretty good looking, innit? It has a Tardis thing going on too. You know, bigger on the inside than the outside.

Its just the right size for me. And lets not forget that if it rains, I can park it underneith my mate's Avalanche...:D

Here you go - taken from my ride this afternoon after I got home from work:

(Excuse the blur, I'm not good at taking iPhone photos wearing carbon road-shoes)

I took a few tools with me as well in case I needed to tweak anything. Quite liking it, seems fast. Steering seems sharper, acceleration seems better and it rolls forever on the flat! Hills are easier too, though I didn't really hydrate properly or eat a lot today so I was feeling a bit flat this afternoon. But I really wanted to get out and try it. :D

The ride doesn't seem as stiff as it was, these wheels feel like they have a bit of a damping effect. Or maybe it's my backside has decided to HTFU! ;)

By my fairly quick and hasty checks, the bike weighs just slightly over 7kg. I'll weigh it properly tomorrow and get a more accurate figure than some old bathroom scales can provide.

I don't. It's a pain in the proverbial to keep clean. It'll have black next.

But I can keep it fairly clean with hot water and dishwashing detergent of all things.

From my experience black tape is the only way to go.everything else gets really dirty. Nice bike.

Pre-ordering for PS3, but yet needing to purchase a new 360? Money to blow?

ps3 is running atm and i have friends from work i play wm3 with on the ps3 and who are also getting Black Ops II so thats why the pre order on that system.
i have tons of games for the 360 but since its doa right now I eventually want to get a new one. not sure why that is such a weird thing to replace in the future.

I would have gone white, but I'm not a fan of the grey/white back. The black version looks great with the matching antenna band, however.

Waiting for the iPhone 5 announcement, if they don't do something magical, I'm switching.

That is why I swapped a month ago. None of the rumors coming out impressed me all that much. After a string of iPhones, I swapped to a Galaxy S3 and haven't looked back!
