Nice, I've been eyeing the 404 MAXs 58mm.
I'm looking to pick up one of these soon.
I ended up getting Bontrager (HED) Aeolus 5.0s instead, at over $1000 off with a cassette and appropriate brake pads thrown in.
The cassette is a bit higher geared than the other one on my previous wheels - I should be able to manage it easily with the lighter weight. I haven't weighed the bike yet, but it feels a lot lighter than before and looks the business!
It's the ultimate for Sunday morning coffee shop bragging rights.
I didn't get to test it out yesterday because the brakes needed to be adjusted for the new pads:
1. take the Shimano pads out of the shoes (they are tight so it's in the vice with the brake shoes and tap the pads out with a mallet)
2. Put the new cork pads in (tap them in with a mallet)
3. Put the shoes on the bike
4. The thickness of the pads is different, have to adjust the brakes so they have the correct clearance to the wheels
5. Line them up with the braking surface on the wheels
And by that time, over an hour had passed and it was too dark and cold to go out.
I'm going to get another set of brake shoes today and another set of normal pads so I can quickly swap the wheels and pads over.
I'm looking to pick up one of these soon.
Nice BMC! Don't see too many of them around my location, everyone has Scott, Cannondales or Specialized.
